SmartConnect is an intermediate powerful information system (middleware) that allows interconnection between multiple different IT systems each with different features and capabilities.
SmartConnect provides to health, welfare and social security institutions the ability to communicate with each other and to interconnect their information systems, offering comprehensive and consolidated information to end-users and the Administration.
For most health institutions, the information systems have been developed and installed during different time periods over the last years. Each institution covered its own requirements and in collaboration with software companies developed a combination of functions applied to the information systems, adjusted to the individual institution needs. As a result, health institutions manage and store data in incompatible formats. When these institutions try to unify their systems or to share electronic information with each other, inevitably serious incompatibility issues occur.
Smart Connect provides to health institutions a total solution to the above problem, ensuring an easy and safe interface for their information systems.

Automated message filing during system sign in and sign out.
Powerful security module. Data base with all users and their access rights. Only Users with specific access rights are allowed to make structural changes to the system or see statistical data relating its use.
Mapping filters. This feature allows the translation among any message format.
Content Exporting filters. These filters search for specific information in a message structure and update the message properties with the relevant information. This way, the message properties can be used as a reference point to route message delivery to different destination and also be used as control fields for online monitoring.
Routing/multiple sending filters: Option to send electronic messages to many recipient destinations using different message formats.
